This product got straight to business and did the job FAST! Within less than 24 hours of receiving it, testing it and putting it in place it caught vermin! See my video - warning it’s graphic but it shows that in less than 1 minute the mouse is taken out of its misery. If you watched the video you can see that I had both this and the old style trap set. This one caught a mouse first and I must say, the video is a whole lot less gruesome. I had no problem emptying the trap. I just held it over the trash and pressed down the metal button. It was much easier than the other old style one where I had to use gloves and a knife to pry the bar up. This trap works, just make sure you don’t overfill the bait cup with peanut butter or get any peanut butter outside of the bait cup. Also, make sure you test each trap before baiting it. I read other’s reviews and watched their videos. Sometimes there’s duds. I tested all 3 of mine and all of them triggered correctly. Finally, when testing and setting the trap you need to get that button all the way down until you hear a click. This took me a couple of tries and it helps to have the trap sitting on a flat surface like a kitchen counter versus a brick mantel.
