GIRL, buy this book! But seriously, I cannot think of a book I have referenced, talked about, shared about, recommended, or bought more. Ever. I think at this point I have literally bought almost 15 copies. I’ve given copies to all my friends, my sister, both my cousins as baby shower gifts, I gave them away as prizes at my bunco party, I gave them to my room mom (I’m a teacher) as an end of the year gift...You get the point. If you are a female, this book is for you. (And honestly, I think men could get a lot out of it too, but that’s for another discussion). Rachel has a gift for getting straight to the heart with her raw, honest truths...while simultaneously kicking you in the rear and leaving no room for excuses. I found her on social late last year, read this book the day it came out, and have continued to be blessed by her voice in the world ever since. She’s a bright shining light for women because she can relate to all of the struggles we face, having been there herself, and now she’s taking the time to stop at the top, turn around, and reach down to give the rest of us a hand up. This book is the perfect easy read. You can literally pick it up anytime, read any chapter in just a few minutes, and walk away with a crap load of inspiration, tangible steps to improve your life, and proof that you’re not alone. We all believe the same lies, but as Rachel so beautifully illustrates, we all have the power to change those stories and choose a different path. I can’t recommend Girl Wash your Face enough. Buy 10 copies and give one to every woman in your life!
