Bought these because the place I use to work had no heating, and in the winter while typing my hands would freeze. These were perfect because they weren't too bulky to mistype and still kept my hands decently warm. They are also great for wearing under gloves if your hands always get cold. As for using with a smartphone, they work 70% of the time.
