So in addition to buying the starter set I also purchased four bulbs. Let's start with the set up, the bulbs in the starter set come pre-paired so that's a no brainier. Pairing up the additional bulbs was a breeze, just scan the bulb give it a name and your done. I used these bulbs for a day and knew I needed two more. I was using bulbs from TP-Link in my living room lamps. The Sengled bulbs are brighter and about one third the cost. Naturally the TP-Link bulbs had to go. Down load the Sengled skill to Alexa if you have her. Alexa will operate your lights, allow you to group them and dim them should you choose. Don't believe the reviews that say doesn't work with Alexa, if you have the Sengled hub she works just fine. Now the bad news, you need the Sengled app to pair and name your bulbs. The app is a little twitchy. You name your bulbs and have to select a scene photo. Do it right away, if you don't I haven't figured out how to go back and do it. Oh there's an option for it, but it doesn't work. It simply won't let me do it. There is also an option to take my own photo, it just won't let me assign it. Trying to go back to the file photos kills the app. This is a very minor fault that you'll never notice if you assign the photos from the get go.
