When the battery begins to die on your alarm you will do just about anything to stop the chirping. Who decided on such an annoying sound! Anyway, this battery saved the day. It was installed in two minutes and that includes walking downstairs....Just a tip to get through the night (it always seems to start at night). I had a portable battery charger and put it on my old battery for a few minutes. Mercifully the chirping stopped but the battery low on the keypad made me know I needed to get a new one fast or risk being tormented by regular chirps again. Please no! Anything but the chirps!
