I received my Rove R2-4K a few days ago. So far I find it to be a wonderful camera. I did have some issues when I first used it. It was missing some software features such as Screen Saver, WDR and Live Speed. Finding this odd, I contacted via text customer service and was contacted back by Andy immediately on a Saturday. The issue was a firmware update that was required. An upgrade so new that it was as of yet not on the Rove web site. Andy immediately sent me via email the update which I easily downloaded and installed which solved all of the issues. The quality of the camera is superb! It is very easy to setup and use. The picture quality is crystal clear, especially in 4K day or night. The Car DV Player software that is downloaded from the Rove website and works in conjunction with the on board GPS is an amazing application and I highly recommend it's use. I purchased the kit to hardwire the unit in for it's power needs. It's very easy to install, taking all of 30 minutes and makes for a very professional looking solid installation . I recommend watching the installation video on Youtube. With regard to the R2-4K, I found it to be absolutely a must to use the recommended SD card and to FOLLOW all installation and setup procedures and steps EXACTLY as written or conveyed. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this camera for it's high quality and the company for it's excellent customer service and support after the sale. Update: I had some issues attempting to install a firmware update. All caused by my lack of understanding of the process. I contacted Rove and as usual, their exceptional customer service took over. I was immediately contacted via text and they walked me through the process. All issues were addressed and solved. This is an exceptional camera, crystal clear video and picture quality. So easy to use.
