I looked at as many products as I could, as well as the reviews, before I purchased this product. I had used a couple of products prior to this purchase that did not give me the results I was looking for. They were very streaky, with water spots and did not give a "polished" look on my stainless steel fridge and dishwasher. I could not buff the water marks out of my appliances. I almost gave up thinking that all products were going to be alike. However, I decided to give this one a shot . Glad I did! This polish, used as directed, did the trick and has both appliances looking new again. I made my decision based on the photos provided on the good and bad reviews showing the type of stainless steel that this product was used on. A few that used this product did not have great results, but many did. It is my opinion that not all stainless steel types used on appliances are alike in the fact that some are dull, brushed looking and others have a glossy, polished appearance. I think this "might" have an impact on the success of some of the stainless steel polishes on the market. Appearance on the appliances with the "brushed" unglossy look were not great. My stainless steel appliances have more of a glossy sheen to them and this product worked very well for me. There is no unpleasant odor and the polish goes on smooth. I just wiped it on with a micro soft cloth, going with the grain of the finish, let it let for a few minutes and lightly wiped with the cloth provided the same as it was applied. I DID NOT have to buff to a shine. It was that easy.
