Very cute story. Surprised by the transphobic reviews - there is nothing specifically about gender or sexuality or race or anything like that in here- it is just about how we really shine when we are who we are. I feel like this story really speaks to my gifted boy who at times feels different. Lots of kids feel like they don't fit in for one reason or another, and this book should appeal to all. If you think is "hidden agenda" perhaps you are too concerned with wrappers and what is underneath them? Ps. And I am totally giving this to a trans teen I know. An easy way of saying who you are is just great. So yes, good for trans/gay etc. kids too just not exclusive to them.
