I love these rollers. I used to use my mom's heat rollers when I was in school. My daughter's birthday is coming up, and I was looking to buy some hot rollers to do her hair. I'm so glad I chose these over the rest. I have 3 girls, so I bought 2 of them to save me some time. I heated them with the lid closed. I waited maybe 5 min, then began. The white edges were a little hot, but it didn't burn me when I was rolling her hair, just hot. I figured it was that way because I left the lid down. My daughter has long thick hair, it took almost both roller purchases. I think I had 4 left before I used them all up. Once I finished rolling her hair, the bottom ones were ready to come off. The entire process took me 30 min. I really loved curling her hair this way, it felt so much faster, and less strain on my arm.
