I purchased this to use post-partum and I'm glad I did. It provided a lot of support--and I feel that it helped me "shrink" back to my pre-pregnancy size quickly. I was surprised at how large they run. Definitely do not go by your clothing size or what you normally wear. To size correctly, you want to measure midway between your waist and hips: Small Up to 34"/86.5 cms Medium Up to 38"/96.5 cms Large Up to 46"/117 cms XL Up to 55"/135 cms XXL Up to 64"/163 cms Hopefully that will help you order the right size, so you don't have to exchange it. :)
