This purchase is to replace one that died. It was the best little can opener I have ever used. I bought two previously because I also wanted one at our summer house. The price is so reasonable that I bought another two-pack. Once you use it you will keep all other can openers just for emergency purposes. It works all by itself and shuts off when its job is finished. Its great for opening large cans because you don't have to lift and hold them like with other electric openers. Try it you'll like it.
