At first I was a tiny bit skeptical cause I've tried a lot of products to clear my face of hyperpigmentation for many years. I bought this about a month back, and realized the difference it made. Now.... granted, I honestly think that this product is meant to help clear your skin along WITH your own other products in your daily routine, whatever they may be. So if you're out there trying to get rid of dark spots, you REALLY need to remember you need a soap that isn't too harsh (shea butter soaps, jelly cleansers, foaming cleansers, nothing too abrasive), then the toner, then a serum (preferably with vitamin C or a soothing serum, I would not suggest using this with pure vitamin C or other micro exfoliants). Then most importantly, a moisturizer with retinol when doing your routine at night, and a moisturizer with sunscreen during the day. I got my fastest results that way, and look forward to continuing to get to my goal of finally having clear skin. But I see a lot of reviews out there about micro exfoliants, and it always sounds like they just had the wrong mixture of products. In reality, it's really not that complicated. If you don't want to use this exfoliant and want to use another, you can't use both or all of them at the same time. Trust me, I made that mistake when I first got this, and had to just put those away while I used this. I have yet to try to put weekly abrasion back into my new routine (like facial scrubs). I think this does enough just fine. I was always told by doctors that what helps the exfoliation process is truly patience, especially with dark skin, and now I understand that.
