Stronger, Simpler, and Safer than Google Wifi!
I acquired this Meshforce system to upgrade my Google Wifi due to poor coverage in my bedroom a "whopping" 2 walls away. Configuration was very easy -- plugged into my firewall, opened up the Meshforce App, and configured the system, which took no more than 5 minutes (device picked up an IP address in 20 seconds, I configured my network details and required port forwards with ease, then connected several devices to the Access Point). Coverage was immediately showing stronger than my Google Wifi Points -- In the bedroom where the initial issue was incurred, I saw a massive 10dBm increase in the *5GHZ signal* (total of -54dBm, and no not the 2.4Ghz signal, which statistically will work better through walls -- this was not the case) in the bedroom compared to the Google Wifi points (which could not pump out more than -64dBm on the 5Ghz network in that location)... Upon further review, I noticed that once I left the room where the main access point was, the Google Wifi Access Points were pushing my phone to the 2.4Ghz Band, whereas the Meshforce never did this and maintained 5Ghz signal the entire time. Testing my Xbox confirmed the performance increases findings -- with almost the exact same latency (58ms for Meshforce vs 56ms for the Google Wifi), I saw a 10% increase in speeds (nearly 2.5Mbps on my internet) compared to the Google Wifi Points. Physically speaking, the Meshforce devices are slightly larger than the Google Wifi points, however considering the coverage increases as well as the much-more-versatile add'l LAN port (Google Wifi points only have 1 LAN port) this physical specification difference was an absolute non-factor, and saved me the expense of buying a new switch for my configuration at home. As an added bonus, these devices get me off of Google's Mesh Network Programs which are by nature invasive and the furthest thing from privacy-focused. The only "issue", if you can even call it that, would be the app on occasion errantly showing small pieces of untranslated text. This was rare, and only happened 3 times after hours within the app, and was solely a cosmetic bug -- any of the actual mechanics of the app used for applying settings or adjusting configurations on the Meshforce devices showed zero issues updating and saving configuration changes (an issue I used to run into frequently with the Google Home App for the Google Wifi Points). In the past, I've used several other Mesh Wifi systems, such as Netgear Orbi's, Linksys Velop's, Ubiquiti UniFi, as well as my own Mesh Wifi Configurations using ActionTec Devices. All of them were sub-par solutions, especially the Orbi devices (of which I had success with, however only in specific homes, i.e. these were not versatile devices). I began recommending to anyone I knew to use the Google Wifi Points as they were the most reliable solution I had found. That is, up until now, I've already told two close friends that they should purchase these M7 packs if they are able to afford it, as this device has exhibited some high quality performance. 5 out of 5 Stars! Absolutely recommended, especially at the price point listed as of 1/29/2021. The 3-Pack of Meshforce M7's is STILL Cheaper than the standard Google Wifi 3-Pack -- extra coverage + savings -- you can't pass these up!
