An honest review from a non-protein powder junkie
A lot of the reviews on here complain about the consistency of the powder once mixed with liquid, others complain that there is some form of sweetener in it. To be honest, most of these people probably don't realize that they are just missing it incorrectly or don't understand that to get a decent chocolate or vanilla flavor is to sweeten it up. From my experience, blending the powder is the best especially as I tend to do it with 16oz of water. I also mix in some flax seed and PBFit powder. After the blender is done mixing it up, I can't complain about the texture. Sure, there is some form of gritty taste to it, but it's protein powder. What are you expecting? Mixing this in a shaker bottle does not work very well nor does it taste very good. This form of mixing will cause it to really taste gritty, hence why there are probably so many negative reviews. Also, don't use a small blender like a Magic bullet as that does not blend it very well either. As for the sweetener, deal with it. If you don't like that the manufacturer adds some Stevia or monkfruit extract to make it taste more like chocolate and less like dirt, go somewhere else. This is not to be enjoyed while sitting by the pool on a sunny day, it's about chugging it down and going about your day. The one thing I don't like, however, is the service size is "two rounded scoops". What? Why not just make a scoop size so it's two level scoops? What is a rounded scoop, a mound on top or just a bit over the edge? Who knows! Overall I recommend this as a good vegan and crap-free powder.
