I ordered this chair as I am on a fixed income and I needed a chair I could easily lay back in and also elevate my feet while sitting. Judging from the reviews I ordered the chair. It arrived promptly with no damage to the packaging. However, once I decided to put the chair together I remembered what one reviewer stated how the back needs to be slid on in a certain way so I followed those instructions and everything seemed fine until I sat the chair upright and sat in it. The chair was leaning to the left. The seat and when I elevated the seat they both leaned dramatically to the side. I sat the chair on its side to see what the issue was and finally saw that whoever constructed this particular chair did not slide the connection from the levers coming from the seat into the slots located on the base of the chair, not only that, the slots at the base of the chair had been flattened to the point where you could not attempt to pry the area open. I was exhausted and in a lot of pain by this time and could not wrestle with the chair anymore. I called my son he could not loosen the area either. I couldn't risk sitting in the chair as is (too dangerous) so I contacted the seller via email and explained my frustration and disappointment. I also explained there was no way I could repackage the item and return it. My son lives out of town and was visiting at the time and I didn't want him to delay his rounds visiting all our family members while he was here returning a chair. After sending the email a week later I opened my door to see a large box on my porch. I had not ordered anything so I was shocked to see such a large box on my porch. My neighbor bought the box inside for me and I opened it to see a new chair from the company!!!! No billing, no request for a return of the broken chair (which was now in my garage), just the replacement chair which I was able to assemble with no problem and have enjoyed every since. No, it's not a top of the line recliner, but it sure feels like it to me! I thank this company SO MUCH for their compassion for those of us that cannot afford to replace or return items because we are disabled. We are not considered in a world made for the young and healthy. Most companies have ABSOLUTELY no programs or even attempt to understand the pain and struggle we have to deal with on an EVERYDAY basis. LARGE, RICH corporations! It's sad, 'cause you're healthy until you're sick. To have this company do this for me confirms Amazon attempts to deal with manufacturers that stand behind their products (TCL televisions is not one of them). I would recommend this company to anyone and would definitely purchase another product from them. Thank you Tuoze!
