Living in Houston, I use and lose a lot of umbrellas. I really like this umbrella. It opens and closes automatically. It's a little heavier than a pocket-size umbrella, but I like the added weight because the smaller umbrellas seem too flimsy for strong winds during a bad storm. It could easily fit in a shopping tote bag but is probably a bit too long for a woman's purse. I am very pleased with this umbrella.
