Okay, so this is one of those products that requires some research to understand how it works in order to use it properly. Turns out the number 1 reason for this to not work is using it wrong, in other words the amount you use. With this product, too much is the wrong way to use it, let me explain... For starters, this isn’t an appetizing product for roaches, its not like sugar where they see it, and they want to eat it, so that was my number one misconception; i thought this was some kind of sweet disguise that maybe attracted them, so i thought “well if they want to eat this, let me put a lot”. That is not how this works!. The way this works is the powder clings to the roaches when they WALK OVER IT, eventually the roach will lick itself as their self cleaning technique, and thats how they ingest the powder. After that roach dies (hopefully in their hiding spot with the rest of the roaches), the other roaches will eat the dead roach and boom, now they're all poisoned as well. Now the reason it wasn't working for me at first was because I was applying very thick and visible lines of boric acid around the kitchen counter, cabinets, drawers, floor, etc. Since this isn’t anything appealing to them, whenever they came across the thick lines of powder they didn't think “yummy food”, they thought “great, a barrier, let me go around it”, and thats how they missed my traps. The correct way to use this is by lightly dusting the powder so that its almost unnoticeable because your goal is to get them to walk over the powder. If you read the instructions, there’s something about “light dusting”, and that’s exactly what you should do. I feel like that bit on the instruction should be emphasized because that’s the most crucial part when using the product, yet the one part people get wrong the most. Trust me, after I did the research and realized what I was doing wrong, and appropriately did this, my roach troubles are falling like raindrops!.
