Ok, so initially I put it together wrong and just thought it wasn’t working because it was overcast. I’m an idiot. Anyway, once I figured that out it worked instantly. It still works when it is overcast just not as strong. My only suggestion is that if you plan to use it in a little bird bath like I did, I would take the nozzle part off. If there is even a little wind it tends to blow the water to the ground and your bird bath will be empty in an hour. The directions that came with it say leaving the pump without water can shorten the lifespan. To avoid this I took the nozzle off and allow it to work more like a little bubbler. It’s perfect and I waste way less water!
