I must admit, I almost threw it out the window after struggling with it for half an hour! I had seen this exact model used by a knitting instructure and "had" to have it! When it arrived, it already appeared to be fully assembled, so I gave it a shot several times and failed miserably, the wound ball only made it to the size of a tennis ball before getting tangled. Grrr... Then, I had a brainstorm - maybe I should look at the instructions - I mean, really look at them. And, alas, once I got the metal arm into it's proper position, it really worked like a charm! Quick and efficient and a very nicely wound "cake" of yarn with a center pull. Neato! So, to all considering purchasing this item, go for it - just read the instructions really carefully and you'll be good to go!
