One brushing removed the matting.
After using a regular brush on my long-haired cat, I went back with this one. It removed huge chunks of matting I couldn't even feel before. It didn't pull her hair like a normal brush so she's happy. I swear she lost 10% of her body weight. Attached is the after-photo.
