GREAT FOR MY MODERATE TO SEVERE HEARING LOSS
I purchased this phone in January because I have moderate to severe hearing loss and had a hard time understanding people on a regular phone. When I first used it I still wasn't hearing conversations that well so I tried adjusting the tone to a higher pitch/tone with the Tone button on the side of the handset and that helped a GREAT deal. There are 6 settings/tones and the phone will stay at the tone you choose unless you need to adjust it while talking to someone. People with hearing loss lose the ability to hear the higher pitches/tones and these are needed to understand speech better. The clarity is good with this phone. Another good feature that helps a lot if needed is the Slow Talk button. It slows the speech of the caller just enough to understand better. I was quite surprised and delighted when I first used it. I haven't needed to use the Volume Booster button because the Volume buttons on the side of the handset are usually enough for me. Using the Speakerphone also is a good way to hear the caller louder. I love the Call Block feature. It really helps with the Robo calls. As well as blocking people's numbers you can block a series of numbers such just an area code, which I have done with great results, and you can block No Number/ No Name calls. The adjustments and features were not difficult at all and I am a senior. I like too that the phone announces the name of the caller. I am very grateful for a phone with these features.
