I bought these along with the Columbia Men's Silver Ridge Convertible Pants and these have just a bit more room in the crotch and thighs. For me, that was enough to go with these for the comfort level. Other than that I would say the two brands are very close in quality and features. One thing to note is the nylon belt it comes with does not stay very secure. I switched to a leather belt. You could probably find a better buckle on amazon for cheap to get the strap to stay more secure. This wasn't a big deal for me as I just used the strap for keeping a blanket rolled up.
