Make your keys go clickety clack and see them in the dark
This is so damned cool. I'm 75 years old and I think it's really so cool.
I have my computer in a workstation that is built into a cabinet. It's a small but handsome hand-crafted piece of furniture. Unfortunately, it is in a spot that is difficult to light well. After struggling with it for some years, I decided to get a backlit keyboard and ran across this one. What a great find.
First of all, I can actually see the keys. I touch type but not real well and I lose my place often. Now I can look down and find the danged key. In the semi-dark. The tray is not only backlighted but the light shines through the letters on the keys, too.
And the mechanical keys work really well and smoothly. Kind of soothing that they go clickety clack too. And they are solid. The keyboard is steel and totally rigid. Fits right into the slideout tray on my workstation.
I should mention that I only use the white option for the keys and backlighting. You can make it purple and green and blue, but I cannot imagine why. You can make it so the light waxes and wanes in rhythm for some reason. I don't do that. Weird.
