Great for my Dog's Crate!
I rarely write reviews, but this one's worth it.
I bought the Arctic Air for my Rottweiler's crate. He's just south of 100lbs and always hot. Unfortunately I'm always cold and don't like expensive utility bills. So I figured I'd give this a shot as a compromise.
You can see in the pics that he's in an Impact dog crate in the corner of the living room.
I filled the Arctic Air with water from the fridge and turned it on high. The apartment thermostat is set to 77 degrees. I attached a camera and the cooler to the crate door with zip ties. It's pretty light even when full so was easy to secure to the bars.
Pic 3 is right after he came in from his walk and running around the apartment. Five minutes later he's cooled down enough to chew on his bone. By the time I got to work he was snoozing comfortably, meaning it has to be less than 72 degrees in there.
I was wary of purchasing the Arctic Air because of the mixed reviews, but I felt it was worth a try for an enclosed space that measures 48"L*33"H*29"W. Sure enough it works for my intended purpose so far.
My only complaint is I wish the tank was bigger. Turned on high it needs to be refilled by the time I get home for lunch. I'll experiment with it on the different setting and update if anything changes.
