I expected a different result, but this color does the job it's supposed to do. I was used to semi permanent colors lasting a shorter amount of time than they market. We hosted a fundraiser with a binge-worthy entertainment theme. Our non-profit staff and volunteers decided to go with Orange Is The New Black and I was the character Red. I bought a wig and thought it wasn't quite good enough. Therefore, I decided I would use this semi-permanent color. After all, they wash out fairly quickly, right? You want a color that sticks around? I imagine most people do when they buy a product like this. So yes, you want to buy this one. It's vegan and cruelty-free which was a bonus for me. I worked to actively strip the color because it was fun for the night but I hadn't planned to keep it around. I used baking soda, a famous name brand hair stripper, washed it multiple times a day... It remained bright red. I have now added a light brown to bring the color to a more natural red and embraced it.
