I have bought 2 of these now. The new ones come with extra diaphragm replacements and the last one lasted about a year and a half. The blue ring gets stuck on our bottom step so I take the ring off and have no issues. The last one had hoses that were cheap and unraveled like a slinky when removing it from the water so I used the old hose. To buy a new hose and new diaphragms it cost more than a new unit. Don’t try to buy knock off diaphrams because they don’t fit the Vingli pool vacuum. They are too wide and don’t fit the pipe end. Leaving 4 stars though because this vacuum does a great job keeping our pool clean all summer long. I highly recommend removing the vacuum during the winter and using a manual vacuum or net to remove debris from the pool before opening it in the spring to make the diaphragms last longer. The only thing I don’t like is the quality of the hose on the new ones. Still would recommend buying this if you are on a budget
