Not Cold? I Fixed That!
I bought this fridge to replace a homemade kegerator, and to make room in my actual fridge. I don't collect the best craft beers in the northeast, I drink them. Fridge came double packed, no damage. Plugged it in after waiting a few hours, and loaded it up. Next day, I was saddened to notice my delicious beers weren't as cold as I would prefer. The battle begins. Out of nothing more than laziness, and maybe the inconvenience, I opted not to send this fridge back. You see, I'm a plumbing and heating contractor. I knew there was a way to dick with the thermostat, I just had to find a way. I grabbed my digital meat thermometer (never once have I used it for meat, because I am in fact a man) and got to work. Fridge on factory setting would only cool to about 45*. I pulled the housing off of the thermostat. I scoured the interwebs for any literature on said t-stat, to no avail. However, I did find that if I completely screwed it up, I could get a new one for like $10. We'll anyhow, there is a small Phillips head screw that adjusts the tension on the release of the thermostat. Just screw that sucker in almost all the way. Beers are now sitting at around 32* ready for enjoyment. Oh yeah, unplug the fridge first. I zapped myself right off the bat. Cheers folks!
