Don't listen to the bad reviews.
As someone who married a Brit, I have been through my share of tea kettles. Seeing the bit about "rust" in some of the comments seemed far fetch to me, so I ordered this one... and now I'm so glad I did. This is probably the 10th electric kettle I've had, and at 1/3rd the price of my most expensive one from the past, it already outshines it. Amazing little kettle. Very sturdy glass. Nice feel. Not "flimsy" at all. Oh and the bit about rust 😂😂😂 just like I suspected, it is not rust. It is mineral deposits. All kettles need to be descaled with vinegar. It is not unhealthy, just unsightly. Just use vinegar and water and boil it through a cycle in your kettle and wipe clean.!!!! Oh the kicker... if these commenters had read the nice little booklet that came with it they would know what it was and how to fix it. People who throw out the instructions shouldn't complain when something doesn't seem right lol. Buy the kettle. It's absolutely perfect. And Brit approved!
Update! It is now a year and a half after my review, and I still love love love this tea kettle! It’s so easy to clean (just wipe it out, and after brewing leave lid up so it dries out. When mineral deposits start, run it through vinegar cycle)... buy this! Not only does it last, the lights are really cool and the tea kettle heats your water super super fast... ^_^ and we use it 5-10 times a day because tea is quite literally all my hubby drinks... I’m not even joking hahaha so that’s a lot of usage! Lights still work and everything.
