When I first opened the package for this piece of shape wear I was a bit upset at how small it seemed to be. I went by the size chart and ordered the XL based on my size. I decided to go ahead and try to get myself into it anyway. It was pretty tight at first but stretched to fit me pretty easily. I am 5'6" tall and wear a size 8-10 but my thighs and post-baby midsection do not lend me the shape I would like to have, so, shape wear! The top of this piece has some boning to prevent rolling under your bust line and it works pretty well. I have an extra roll of skin there and this hides it perfectly. The legs are a bit tight so I would only wear this under a loose fitting dress or jeans. My legs do a fun bulge thing at the bottom so anything thin and form fitting would show that off. I think the only way around that would be to have it cut like underwear or go all the way to the knee. Mid-thigh is not an ideal length for this type of product, in my opinion. I do like how much belly control this thing gives me though. My mid section is loose, to say the least, and this piece tames it pretty well and makes me look slimmer. Once it is on, it is pretty comfortable, although does add quite a bit of warmth under clothes so I wouldn't say it's ideal for warmer weather. Overall, for the occasion that I need something like this, this one will do just fine.
