I bought this cushion for my car drivers side seat. The thickness is much closer to what I need for proper lumbar support, as compared to the prior cushion I had that was way to thick and left too little contact with my head/shoulders to the rest of the seat to truly be effective. (Granted it's thinner than many, but I could have gone even a little less, depends on your original seat and adjustability of that too) The Material was a good foam consistency that seemed supportive while offering enough give. The texture of the cushion's outer casing was not unpleasant. My biggest CRITICISM for this product, and majority of the one star deduction is the ease of use of the straps to attach it to the seat. The clasps are not easy to operate or reach around in tight quarters (such as a car or if your arms are tight on an office chair) while maintaining a tight non-sliding fit via the elasticity of the straps. I can only imagine this will/would become tiresome if I had drivers in my car that really disliked it and had to take it off often, but luckily for me this has not been the case. (Might be a big deal if you share your vehicle more often with others) I will give a minor thumbs up to the fact they they have receiving clasps in both directions, so if you need to attach the straps the opposite (perpendicular) direction for your seats particular configuration it's possible. Other than that, I enjoy the fact it came in a color other than plain old black, but would have enjoyed if it came in some thing to match either my cars paint or interior. (I might be asking a bit much on that one.)
