First let me say I've been an artist 30+ years. I do every kind of painting and now papercrafting. This is a basic paper BUT if you diecut paper for say scrapbooking or card making this paper is twice as thick and half the price of thin 65 pound cardstock that runs $12-15 for 25 sheets so this is a great alternative!! We buy several pads and cut things out for elementary age kids and they paint them at school, make keepsake ornaments etc. It holds up far better than construction paper!! I draw or stamp on it and use watercolor pencils to color in my creations, this paper is perfect for that. Another famous brand sells 4 x 5 inch sheets at 10 times the cost for the same thing! I am stocking up, and my 7 and 9 year old LOVE to paint. $5 a month to keep 2 kids busy is a bargain. I highly suggest using Inktense pencils on this paper, SUPER vibrant. We go through a pad a month easy.
