I have purchased many humidifiers for my two stories 2300 sqft house. Evaporative, ultrasonic, desktop....nothing really helped to increase humidity my whole entire house. I put three ultrasonic humidifiers, but it only increased 3% of humidity (from 28% to 31%). I live in Arizona. Hot and dry climate. I saw many good and bad reviews about this humidifier, but I decided to give a shot. -Sound: Many people say that it is just too loud! For me, it doesn't sound like a jet. There are 9 speeds you can set. Even 9, it is not that bad. On top of it, Level 1 speed can still moist our whole house !!! -The place you pour water: People also complain about this area is too small to pour the water so that it is easy to spill, and it is hard to see the water level line. OK, this, I think it is just ridiculous to pour 3 gallons of water from this small area and check the water level at the same time. What I do is just simply take off the top body part and pour water into the tray directly with a big pan. It is much easier and you can do it within 3 seconds. No need to struggle not to spill the water and it is much easier to check the water level. -Maintenance: Oh my...I just love this part. So easy to clean. You just simply take the filter part out of the tray and just wipe with a dry towel. I spray white vinegar and water mixed homemade detergent and wipe. It does a great job and I do not think I can find any better humidifiers which work like this with this price!!! I will definitely buy this in the future again, and yes, I will recommend this to my friend!
