Great storage but either too big or too little
These canisters have a great design. The process of sealing and unsealing the beans is very tactile and there's no doubt the mechanism is removing the air as advertised.
I own both sizes of canister. I get my coffee whole bean, in 10-12oz bags. With the 64oz canister, I found it to be bigger than needed. The coffee is usually filling only 1/4 or less of the canister, and that very tactile process of sealing and unsealing the canister really drives home how much unused space there is. I thought a 32oz might be a better fit to my use and take up a little less space on my counter to boot.
I didn't expect the 32oz to be quite big enough for a full 12oz bag of beans, and I was correct. I can put the lid on, but not the seal and certainly not both. I don't stay full very long at all, so this doesn't bother me, but someone buying a 32oz to hold a "standard" 12oz bag of beans and use the air removal feature 100% of the time would probably be disappointed.
I took some pics for anyone facing the same conundrum. If the company made a 48oz version, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
