I have issues with tight muscles and resulting injuries all up and down the posterior chain. Since I started using this massage gun, it's clear as day that things are loosening up. One huge factor is that I will actually use this consistently. It feels amazing and is so easy to just turn on for a couple of minutes. (Compare to foam rolling -- ouch.) The device is solid and well weighted; I am able to hold it in one hand while working on my opposite shoulder without straining the arm holding the massage gun. I like that it has 20 "levels"; I know some machines have two or three, and I have appreciated having so many options (along with all of the attachments!). I have had the device for about two weeks, and I typically use it twice a day. At first, I used the "if it doesn't hurt, it's not doing anything" approach. Then, after reading around a little bit, I decided to sometimes just let it skate across my skin rather than pressing in, and I started trying to loosen up the tissues around my most painful or tender knots/spots, rather than going right for the knot. I still sometimes add focused attention with a little more pressure, but I have found that letting the device's percussive movement do all the work is often enough. (And WOW does it feel good.) I have wanted a percussion massager like this for a long time; I just didn't know that I could get such a quality one in a price range that I could manage. So happy with my purchase.
