Very impressed by this seat!
I was a car seat tech for many years and always love getting to review new car seats. Some of my reviews have not been real popular because I didn't rant and rave about how wonderful the seat was! I'm happy to say, I was very pleased with this seat. It is very user friendly and installs well. Pros: - No need to re-thread the harness when adjusting the height. Over the years, I saw a lot of mis-threading mistakes made by parents, so this is a very nice feature. - Separate LATCH attachments for rear and forward facing. Again, a common mistake is using the rear facing belt bath for forward facing installs. Having separate LATCH connectors should reduce this. I hope. - Easy install forward and rear facing. Obviously, I can't try the seat in every vehicle, but in the two I did try, the seat installed tight with very little effort. The rear facing recline was perfect without any rolled towels or pool noodles as well. - The adjuster pulled very smooth and I didn't have any issues with the harness wanting to fold over in the buckle. - The instructions were very clear. - Nice, deep sides and good side impact protection. Yes, I realize we don't test for this in the US, but deep side wings are always a pro. - The infant insert is nice. Unfortunately, my baby is 6 months old so I really can't test out how well the seat fits a small newborn. - High rear facing weight limit is great, but not real unique in this day and age. Cons: The only real con I saw was that the fabric was kind of slick and itchy. It's also booooring, but these things are not big cons at all. They are more like personal likes/dislikes and don't impact the safety of the seat at all.
