Set your expectations. It's gonna take work, but it's worth it.
There were some minor and major issues, but nothing shocking. 1) the bike arrived assembled improperly. When I filled the tank, gas was flooding out like a waterfall because the O ring under the gas tank had been off center and was damaged during installation (this piece is pre-assembled out of the box) 2) I imagine during shipping or something that the idle adjustment screw was bent. Several other tabs and bits we're out of alignment, but we're easy enough to bend back. 3) The front break line REALLY wants to rub on the front tire. I have zip tied the heck outta that thing and bent the little clip that holds it away from the wheel and think I've finally gotten in far enough away, but gotta keep my eye on it... No problem getting registered in Texas. Got my plates on the bike now! Now, the good stuff. It cost me under $1,500 to get a bike that is street legal and can keep up with traffic as long as I'm not getting on major highways or anything. Does it take some work and creativity? Yeah, but this bike is so easy to work on that even without having any clue WTF I'm doing I feel like I have a good handle on it. Set your expectations properly. It's a super cheap bike from China. You might get a perfect one out of the box, but higly unlikely. With some TLC and lots of fiddling this might be the perfect bike for you. After making all of the standard recommended mods (look up motocheez and just do everything he says. Like $100 more bucks to make this into a real vehicle!) I can cruise around 65 mph (70 if the wind is blowing the right direction!). Around 300 miles total on it so far and I would definitely buy again.
