As a guy on his feet all day working hard, all I wanted was a comfortable shoe to work in and was told Mizuno might work out for me. I tried one on and almost immediately I was bombarded by middle age, republican white men who were screaming at me that I was supporting the death of fetuses every where and that I should be ashamed at my actions. Then my cell phone started ringing (how did they know my number?) and I ended up with two prerecorded calls from Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity telling me that liberals like me were the merchants of death and if I was their kid, they would be ashamed of me. I tried explaining that I had previously voted Republican for years and was no liberal and all I wanted was a good shoe, but all I received was cold silence. Then walking out of the mall with my new Mizunos on, I was surrounded by a mix of pro life, religious right wingers on one side, a pack of Tea Party Republicans coming at me from from the other. One group was telling me to save the unborn, regardless of any health consequence to the woman and how dare she have rights, then the tea party folks were telling me that all government services, including all forms of welfare, were to be cut if our republic was to survive. One side wanted me to save the fetus, the other side wanted me to starve it off once it had been born and tell it and the mother, you're on your own and this is how the founding fathers wanted it. I quickly felt a panic attack and took off my shoes and a sense of calm came over me, but then my feet became so tired. So I only wear them occasionally and recommend that if you buy them be prepared for the onslaught of white males who claim to be for smaller government, but only when it comes to taxes, regulation, and healthcare. However but when it comes to women and their body, governmental oversight with the blessing of a right wing form of Jesus, is needed. Great shoe though and quite fashionable.
