I didn't think this would be as nice for what I paid. I have this monitor connected to my LG Gram 17 with just the USB-C connection (no additional power) and it's working great. The display is bright and crisp. The bezel is very thin and the monitor itself is very thin. This easily fits in my bag with my laptop. And for people who really want to geek out, I also have the AOC USB monitor (1920x1080 - 15.6"). If I had to choose, I'd pick the Newsoul monitor but guess what? They BOTH work at the same time. As I write this, the Newsoul monitor is an additional left hand monitor and the AOC is working off a USB port on the right hand side. This is AWESOME? I can now remote into my Office PC (which is also connected to three monitors) and I can see all three monitors! If you want a no compromise solution for getting work done when you're out of the office, the Newsoul monitor will be tough to beat. You'll need to make sure your USB-C connection supports it if you don't want to carry an extra adapter - I haven't even opened the power adapter or the HDMI cables - I don't need them. Rest assured though, they are included so this monitor can be configure with just about any laptop you hook it up to. Just for kicks, I did also hook the monitor via USB-C cable up to my phone (Galaxy 10+). You get an mirror version of your phone on the monitor. Ideally I'd like to use the monitor in it's full dimensions and use the phone as the "PC". Still a work in progress. If I can accomplish that, I could conceivably dump the Laptop. My ideal setup would be the phone, the monitor and a bluetooth keyboard. If anyone out there has this figured out, I'd like to hear from you. UPDATE: Connect the power adapter with the phone and Samsung will boot the DEX operating system. A very windows like experience with just your phone and this monitor. I added a LOGI Logitech keyboard for the mouse and keyboard, downloaded the DEX optimized Microsoft applications and even remote into my desktop PC. I'm very close to not needing a laptop at all! This monitor is an eye opener!
