Great anchor for kayak with a couple of tweaks
Love this anchor for my kayak! But the thick rope is overkill for that application. I replaced the original rope with a lighter and 25' longer 75# rated 1/8" floating line from Home Depot that also had a storage handle, and that works better and is much easier to store and handle in the kayak. Then I turned the original rope into bow and stern lines for two kayaks. I also added a short length of galvanized chain between the anchor and line, to weight the arm down for setting a better fluke grip on the bottom, a lesson learned when I had a much larger 30' power boat and anchor.
