I wanted to wait to review this until I had been able to thoroughly test it. I foster dogs for a local shelter and the easiest and least expensive way to make beds for smaller dogs is to use inexpensive bed pillows and pillow shams. I bought these as a barrier between the two in order to protect the pillow from getting ruined should the shelter foster have an accident. These truly are waterproof and stood up to the test of urine, diarrhea, and vomit. They protected the pillows 100% and washed up fabulously! Trust me when I say that if these stood up to the punishment that I have put them through they definitely do what they say. I had hesitated before because one reviewer questioned how waterproof the zipper area was and stated that they were choosing to double them up. I decided to try anyway and because I am doing this to save money in a number of ways did not double them up. Nothing got through the zipper to the pillow, period. I am extremely pleased. I send all my fosters to their forever homes with their "beds" so will definitely be buying these again!
