Does the job
Love this stuff. I was skeptical at first. I am a huuuuuge germaphobe and this worked well enough for me to actually take a bath at my new place with the jets on. I used the product as directed on the bottle; fill the tub with warm/hot water above the jets (I did 1-2" above) drop in 4oz of product and turn the jets on for 15 minutes. It's nice because the bottle is 16oz and marks points at 4oz,8oz,and 12oz so you don't even need a measuring cup or anything. So the first time I cleaned the tub I used this for the recommended 15 minutes. I wasn't sure what to expect because I just moved in, so I bought a Scum Bug to absorb oils as well. To my surprise, it looked like hardy any oils came out but there were a bit of black and brown specks. I ran just water through after the first treatment with Oh Yuk for 15 minutes with jets on. Next, I used bleach. It's recommended to only use bleach in these tubs for very heavy soiling, and since I am just moving in and didn't know what to expect, I reasoned with myself to use it this one time. I did not mix in any dishwasher detergent because, well, I forgot it at the store lol. I'm going to be maintaining the tub with detergent and Oh Yuk. Anyway, so next I used bleach. Filled tub with water above the jets, poured in bleach, ran jets for 15 minutes. Even less junk came out. Emptied tub, filled with water only, ran jets for another 15 minutes. Then cleaned the tub and shower area with a cleaner, rinsed, and notices that I could move the jets to face different directions.. so I moved them around and cleaned between the crevices. They look shiny for the most part now. Just a few white specks caked on. I came back later and did another round of Oh Yuk for 15 minutes, then water after the Oh Yuk had drained for another 15 minutes. At this point it looked really nice and no more specks were jetting out. The picture I included was after Oh Yuk the last time. I didn't get the heavily soiled look or bubbles like a lot of photos. I wasn't even sure if mine was working lol but it did. I took a bath after this and turned the jets on and the water was still clear. Going to buy some more for maintenance. Also, the instructions for the product are on the bottle. :)
