There is only one spot in our den for a tree, and that spot didn't allow for a tree taking up 3-4' of floor space. After reading the good reviews, I ordered this tree. In the interest of full disclosure, I have to admit that I was somewhat disappointed when I opened the box. Not sure what I expected, but my first impression was that it didn't look 'natural'. Being that it was October at the time, I put the box away, along with my initial response. This past weekend (right after Thanksgiving), I pulled the box out of the closet and took out the tree. Still not overwhelmed. But I hung in there and as I began to spread out the branches, my attitude changed. By the time I was done decorating, I don't know how I ever did without this thin, beautiful tree. It is full and looks quite realistic when examined closely. The lights seemed kinda sparse before I added ornaments, but the glass and glitter of the decorations really made the tree shine brightly. The clear lights are quite brilliant. The tree is ultra stable on a base that extends almost as far as the branches. I really like that the branches come down almost to the floor ... that adds to the realistic appearance. Evergreens out in the woods always grow close to the ground. Took me a couple of hours to nitpick the branch tips to perfection, but I am delighted with the results. When I was done, there were only 5 or 6 bristles on the floor. That is almost zero shedding, which made me very happy. If that continues, this tree will last for a very long time! I've uploaded a photo of our decorated tree to give you an idea of how it might look in your home. I recommend this for purchase, without any hesitation. The price is low, but the quality is not! UPDATE: The tree was up for 6 weeks. I have 4 dogs that get rather rough playing in the house and they skid into the tree several times ... it never fell over and never lost a needle. The grandchildren were all in awe at how beautiful it was. I've got to say that my husband and I enjoyed this tree so much that we hated to take it down.
