I bought a bunch of these. They are great. But beyond that general endorsement I want to provide some information. First, please understand that these lights - the ones that look like these with these controllers - are called different things by different sellers but I believe that they are all the same. I ordered mine from a few different sellers and they were identical (be careful to make sure how many of these come with your order because that varies by seller). I almost didn't buy these lights in the first place because I saw a reviewer say that the batteries ran down even when they were in the "off" position. This was unacceptable to me. I was putting a dozen of them in a hard to reach location and it just wasn't palatable to think that I would have to remove the batteries after every time I used them or risk losing lots of batteries. But while this reviewer said that his batteries drained, others didn't seem to agree. Therefore, I decided to do a battery drain test - I ordered two of these lights to start with with the thought that I was going to return these two if the batteries drained, and I was going to keep them, an order more, if the batteries did not drain. Bottom line - the batteries do NOT drain when these are turned off. For the first two, I put batteries in, turned them on with the remote then turned them off using the remote. Then I let them sit for a month. They still had power. I then ordered 10 more and now they have had batteries in them for several months and not one set of batteries has drained. Hope that information is helpful to someone.
