It’s not for fragile whites
This book is eye opening and forces white people to re-evaluate many past actions they previously didn’t label as racist, that actually are very racist. Hence all the 1 star reviews. If you 1) aren’t going to go into with an open mind or 2) expect it to be a solve-all book, then don’t bother reading it. The point of this book isn’t to solve racism-that’s going to take years and years and years to dismantle (because our country was built on it), but to open up white people’s eyes to the small things we can do every day to improve how we think and talk about race.
