This machine is relatively easy to operate. There is no power button as it turns on automatically when you plug it in – and off when you unplug it. That was kind of weird for me – no power switch but I suppose this is not the type of thig that you ever really want to leave plugged in anyway. The power cord is plenty long and reminds me of an AC plug in weight and girth. The water reservoir chamber is not that big so you may have to refill it a few times depending on what you are working on. One pass of my kitchen floor and about half the shower and it was empty. They say to use distilled water but I just use filtered water as that is what I have. The tile floors – well it worked great. What I was most impressed with, though, was the shower. First, I removed the handle and the mop head portion to go “handheld” after attaching the included grout cleaning tool. WOW – did it ever take care of the grout. Even the grout that looked relatively clean – instead had little streams of slightly darkened water flowing into my bathtub. It REALLY cleaned those grout lines. Some may think it is a pain to have to run along each grout line – but that is what you have to do to get them clean anyway. Plus – it is sooooo much easier using this machine rather than a manual grout scrubbing tool – so much easier. After I did the grout lines – while still handheld – I just reattached the bottom mop pad and did all the tile walls. Wow – it made them so clean. The tiles were so smooth and squeaky clean and felt so great to the touch. They may have never been cleaner. When you use the handheld option – a lot of watery steam comes out to clean – s be careful. When you use the mophead bottom – it is less wet and more steamy. Overall, the machine is VERY easy to operate and quite versatile. The grout head seems to attach weirdly – but it works. I also do wish that an additional mop head was included so that one could be in the wash while one is being used – but I guess this is not a machine I will personally be using on a daily basis anyway so it is fine.
