I ordered this poncho in polka dot for me and black for my son for our up coming Alaskan cruise July 31, 2018. I decided to go with this one after seeing good reviews. The black was on back order until July 20th. I recieved notification that I would receive it on July 17th. It fits pretty good. I'm 5'7 and its not too big, but big enough for a backpack or bag to fit comfortably. It comes a little past my knees in the front and in the middle of my knee in the back. The material is more like an umbrella. It has a zip up enclosure with a small pocket. It has a cord to pull the hood close. I took a piece of cloth and put the poncho over it, then poured water on it. The water didn't penetrate and the cloth was dry. There are 3 snaps on each arm and it comes all the way down your arm. It also comes with a small bag to store. There was no smell. Overall I think I got a good purchase. The true test is when it rains, how effective is it and will I get soaked. I will update if we have any rain episodes. I'm hoping it holds up.
