I bought this to put on the table for Thanksgiving. I was tired of using multiple sized and shaped trivets to hold the hot food off our wood table, plus I worried if the dish would fall off of the trivet. Now all dishes can be placed directly down the center o the table and there is no worrying about the dishes falling off the trivet. The hot dishes did not burn my table and it was easy to wipe clean after dinner. So many people commented on it, I know what to get them for Christmas now.
