I'm not even sure how to put into words this book. It's one of my top 5 reads of the year! This is also my first from this author! The synopsis pulled me in but the story held me captive. Jack is your typical farm boy. Well. There's nothing "boyish" about him. He's a rugged, muscular, handsome farmer. Boy is he handsome. But he's broken in many ways that aren't seen by the naked eye. He's set in his ways until Margot marches into his life and turns it upside down. She's completely the opposite of Jack and his lifestyle. She's from money and prestige. Does what's she's told. Although she's here for her job, she's looking for something else that she doesn't even know exists. That's when the electricity arises between them. He's the forbidden fruit and she's the "rich city girl." This story has it all. It had me in tears. It had me laughing. It plain and simple had me. I absolutely fell in love with this broken hero and everything he stands for. It's a must read.
