We have owned several dogs and they are always inside outside dogs. Meaning they must be potty trained. Our new addition a 4 month old german shepherd was having trouble getting the idea of going outside. He knew he wasn't supposed to go inside and knew he got a treat for going outside but couldn't grasp the concept of letting us know when he needed to go out. Had read on line that some dogs who are more difficult to potty train sometimes respond to door bells and such. After receiving the product hung it on the door we normally go out to potty and he picked up the idea that he was supposed to ring it to go out within one day. That has been a couple of weeks ago and have not had one single accident in the house since. He goes up and rings the bell with his muzzle and then sits there waiting to be let out every time. Worked like a charm!
