I was frustrated when I purchased a Keurig K-475 for my husband from Amazon, for Christmas. I expected that it would come with a carafe. It didn't, I had to buy that separately. And then I realized the regular reusable K-cup couldn't be used to brew a carafe. So- out to Amazon I went again to order this product. But, when we tried to brew a carafe, we found it didn't automatically work. After calling support, I learned how to rig the system so it will work. Apparently, Keurig doesn't want us using our own coffee for a carafe. So, you'll notice all of the latest K-carafe pods have a bluish-green circle located at 9:00 on the pod. So your stats to success are: 1) Buy a box of carafe pods 2) Cut that circle off a carafe pod 3) Tape it to your reusable carafe pod, at the appropriate location (9:00) 4) Your Keurig will FINALLY brew you a carafe of your own coffee
